Here come the new 25mm Veloflex Record and the Corsa EVO in 32mm!

Big news from the Veloflex lab this autumn: the first is the 25mm Record model in clincher, tubular, and tubeless ready versions. The second one is Corsa EVO, which is going to be available in 32mm, clincher and tubeless ready versions. They will be available on the company’s e-commerce and in stores.

RECORD: three models for those racing against the clock

A long-awaited innovation from our Veloflex lab in Presezzo (Bergamo) has finally been released: Record, the flagship of our racing bike tires, has been redesigned in the 25 mm section and in a Tubeless Ready version.

The Record model is specifically created and engineered for time trial and track racers. Along with the already available 23mm version, a wider 25mm section debuts to meet market demands and the most recent rim generation.

The clincher version has a record weight of 150g, making it an ultra-light, ultra-flexible, and ultra-performing tire for those aiming for the podium in races against the clock!

In addition to the classic tubulars and traditional Veloflex clinchers, Tubeless Ready technology is now going to be available for the Record model, supporting all cyclists who enjoy pushing their limits and competing against the clock with the maximum flexibility provided by the possibility of self-repairing the tire using a special liquid and the convenience provided by the installation of the clincher without an inner tube.

Among the lightest and best performing road bike tires available today.

The Record model features a soft 350 TPI (Threads Per Inch) Corespun casing. Fully slick tread pattern to further enhance maximum speed and smoothness performance. Gum sidewalls to always stand out. An even lighter and more flexible tire with very low rolling resistance.

The Tubeless Ready TLR version features an Air-Lock membrane to minimize air pressure loss and inextensible beads made of Zylon®**, an ultra-high modulus textile fiber that enables the tire to steadily sit on the rim in the absence of an inner tube.

* Zylon is a registered trademark of Toyobo Co. Ltd. in Japan.

As can be seen in the graph below, rolling resistance tests conducted by Aerocoach, a qualified laboratory in the United Kingdom, clearly report the exceptional performance of the 25 mm Veloflex Record model on both tubeless and clincher (with inner tube) tires.

AeroCoach Chart

The wattages quoted represent the power output required to overcome rolling resistance, for a pair of wheels, with latex tube or tubeless sealant, travelling at 45kph and an average rider of ~75kg.

The model in the current series with the lowest rolling resistance was the Veloflex Record 25 mm with inner tube, while the TLR (TubeLess Ready) version was marginally slower.  Competitor models 1, 2 and 3 were proved to be significantly slower.

Notably, the 25 mm TLR model has the lowest rolling resistance of any TLR tire Aerocoach has tested to date.

CORSA EVO 32 mm winks at road E-bikes.

Corsa EVO TLR 32mm

The second big news is the debut of the 32 mm section in the Corsa EVO model, both clincher and tubeless ready models, with gum and black sidewalls.

Corsa EVO adds a new width that winks at the world of e-bikes on road paths and more. Corsa EVO is designed to enjoy high-level performance in both training and competition.

It features a soft and smooth 320 TPI (Threads Per Inch) Corespun casing and an innovative compound capable of delivering exceptional grip and very low rolling resistance.

Unprecedented handling and a new high-tenacity Resilient Kinetic Belt (RKB) to reduce the risk of punctures.
