Rocket, the Italian handmade racing bike, features Veloflex clincher tires

Veloflex has always been part of the tradition of Italian road cycling, carrying out the specialized experience in the sector, gained together with other Italian brands and bike manufacturers that over the years have become important commercial partners and much more.

Stelbel Telai is one of them: one of the most important Italian manufacturers of handcrafted frames for racing bicycles.

The idea to collaborate on the creation of the Rocket bicycle, a limited edition bike built for Rocket Espresso, was born thanks to Stelbel.

Rocket Espresso and Stelbel Telai share the same goals and values ​​that our racing bicycle tire brand shares too. Aiming for the best possible quality, working with the finest materials, maintaining a strictly artisanal all Italian production, with particular attention to detail.

This project is the perfect demonstration of how important these values are to all the companies that are part of it.

The clincher tires selected for the Rocket racing bicycle

The Rocket bicycle made by Stelbel is limited to only 30 pieces and is equipped with the finest components and accessories, including our Corsa RACE tires: high-end racing tires, designed to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists in the most important cycling challenges.

They have a very soft 350 TPI Corespun casing, lightweight, great flexibility to adapt to any road surface and low rolling resistance. The RainDrop pattern of the tire tread is made of a compound with natural rubber and the addition of SiO2 to provide a unique grip. The new extremely resistant RKB (Resilient Kinetic Belt) helps to reduce the risk of punctures.

These clincher tires have been selected by Stelbel and Rocket Espresso as essential components to match a frame made from the precious Columbus Spirit tubing and they are welded with a particular TIG technique.

This bicycle is conceived, designed and built to showcase the outstanding ride characteristics of steel, combining the performance of a true racing bicycle, without compromising on comfort, which is so much appreciated on frames made of alloy steel.

The bicycle is equipped with Campagnolo’s Super Record groupset, Deda Elementi accessories, a latest generation saddle by Fizik, and our elegant Veloflex tires. It is an honor to be among such prestigious Italian companies.

Intentionally made with traditional brakes and a mechanical groupset, this limited edition collector’s bike was created to be a tribute to the history of Italian frame construction and, in a broader sense, to the concept of handmade production which is so dear to us at Veloflex, as an added value of our products.
